I&#039;ve been lucky enough so far to avoid any really bad editors.  I have had a few make comments that I don&#039;t agree with, but such is life.  We&#039;re all looking for different things.

I&#039;d actually be scared as an editor making a call on something factual unless I know 200% that I was right.  I tend to assume that most authors will research the background of their story.</description>

And if you get a stupid rejection letter from a bad editor?  From the person who couldn&#039;t figure out why on earth someone would be speaking Danish in Greenland, for example, or from the person who told me that every story should start with a detailed physical description of the main character, or from the person who said they didn&#039;t like elf stories when my story had no elves nor even hints of elves?  Arguing with them *will not help*.  Filing them under &quot;cuckoo&quot; and moving on to a different publication is still a much better use of one&#039;s time than arguing.</description>
