Born and raised in Perth, Western Australia, Stephanie has long held a fascination for the written word and the worlds that it can create.
Stephanie has a formal background in science, including an undergraduate degree in molecular genetics and a PhD in microbiology/immunology.
She was one of the founding associate editors of Horrorscope and reviewed for the site for the duration of its life. She now reviews for ASif (Australian Speculative Fiction in Focus).
She served as a judge on the horror panel for the 2006 Aurealis Awards and judged the Australian Shadows Awards in both 2009 and 2010.
She is an associate editor for Horrorscope and was a reviewer for Black Magazine. She served as a judge on the horror panel for the 2006 Aurealis Awards and is currently serving as a judge for the Australian Shadows Awards.
Stephanie currently lives in Perth with her husband, son and requisite cat.
