Writing: It’s a Saturday, which should tell you how much I wanted to finish this.  Look at that shiny word metre with it’s 100% on it.  I’m actually really pleased with how this ended up – it just needs a look at from my trust betas, then hopefully just some minor edits before it gets to go winging out into the world.

And now I get to spend next week polishing a short story, Narthex, and then it’s Nano time.

Real life: It’s a Saturday.  ‘Nuff said.

Writing: A really, really good day.  I really wanted to finish this book today, but flagging energy just wasn’t going to let that happen.  Hopefully I can gather enough energy sometime on the weekend to get this finished.  I have a short story that needs edits for an anthology that I’m dying to work on, and of course, Nanowrimo starts in a week. 

Real life: Not a lot achieved, thanks to fibro flaring up.  I did manage to get some laundry done and some light house cleaning.  And lots of Six Feet Under watched in the background while I was working.

Writing: The end is so close I can taste it.  This last chapter is proving a bit problematic, mostly because I’m making a lot of changes.  I’m worried that I’ve got too much going on at once, but I’m at a bit of a loss as how to better write it.  I suspect I’ll be looking at these words tomorrow again, at the very least.  Still, I’m fairly happy with how things are wrapping up, and I have some measure of enthusiasm for the novel again.

I’ve also gotten a random enthusiasm for writing a sequel.  Dammit, writerbrain, I have to sell this one first before I can even think about writing a sequel properly.  Though technically I do have one in draft form, kind of.

Real life: Grocery shopping, a short walk (which wasn’t too pleasant, given that it was humid).  I has a husband back today, too – he’s been away for work again this week.

Writing: Only a chapter from the end of this now.  My brain hurts from trying to make sure that all the story threads pull together right now, and I’m still feeling like I’m missing something,  Perspective, I have none.

Real life: Not a lot, thanks to a general case of the I-don’t-wannas.  I did manage a tiny bit of gardening, though.

Writing: Not much actual forward motion today, because I spent my time reworking yesterday’s words.  I was unhappy with a couple of things, and I got them sorted out, which makes me happy.  I wanted to get in another writing session, but I found myself at a point where I need a fresh mind to deal with some more issues, so it will probably wait until tomorrow.

Real life: Some grocery shopping, went to the chemist.  Exciting stuff.  Now if we could just get the storms that my joints are telling me are coming, I’d be peachy.

Writing: A bit of an up and down day.  Concentration was a bit all over the place, for which I’m blaming the heat today (It got to 35C – it’s supposed to be spring!).  When I finally got it together to turn on the air con, the brain started to function.  I’m enjoying writing the last chapters, and tying things together properly.  I’ve ended up simplifying some storylines – hopefully not too much.  We’ll see how my trusty beta readers see it.  

Real life: Cleaned the house.  Locked myself *out* of the house, which could have been disastrous had we not given spare keys to my folks (who live just around the corner).

Writing: A remarkably good day.  I could actually keep on going, but I won’t, for I have other things I want to do.  You’ll notice that I amended that end total again.  I’m only two chapters away from finishing this – hooray!  I shall be requiring a couple of beta readers at the end of next week – any of you guys who’ve read a previous version interested?

Real life: Did some house cleaning, some laundry, and have even made some jewellery.

Writing: Kind of a meh day.  I’m getting close to the end of the MS, and I’m in the usual state of being utterly bored with it and wanting to work on something new and shiny.

Writing: Not a bad day today.  I’m really pleased with the way I’ve managed to unsnarl some of this plot.  This is definitely going to end up being more than 85k, though.

Real life: It’s randomly feeling like summer today, so I didn’t actually get out and do anything.  Add to that a bad night of sleep and some fibro issues, and I figured that a quiet day was in order.  I’d planned on going for a walk or getting some gardening done, but sometimes I just have to bow to the whims of the human suit.  I did manage to catch up on some other things that needed doing, so the day wasn’t totally a waste.

Writing: Getting closer to the end.  Unfortunately I’m really feeling like I may need to add some more to the end to make a few things make more sense.  We’ll see, though.  I’m at the point where I’m getting sick of this story and want to work on something else.  And yet working on something else also feels daunting.

Real life: It’s a gorgeous day today – it’s supposed to be 30C.  I went for a walk this morning to the post office to pick up a parcel, and it was glorious.  Also did some errands like going to the chemist.  Fun stuff.  My brain is feeling a bit wrung out right now, so I plan on taking it easier for the rest of the day.  Need to refill the well.
