Just a quick heads up that I’ve been playing with the website (moved to a new host, which was thankfully problem-free), so if you find anything broken, please let me know?

Updating
I’m finally getting around to updating to WordPress 2.7 today. Which has rolled into me changing my wordpress theme, and then reassessing all of the widgets that I’ve been using.
Still playing right now. There are too many damn widgets and plugins and too many things that can be done with WordPress, dammit. I really want to find plugins that give me icons like LJ and current music playing.
For those not following on at livejournal, I’ve been battling a particularly horrible respiratory crud all week. I finally slept somewhat well last night, and have been well enough to actually sit up and do something that approaches productivity today (if you count playing some Fallout 3 and playing with WordPress being productive, that is). Still, it’s progress, and I’m not complaining. We even managed to get the last of the Christmas present shopping done. Go us.
Sundays are for laziness (and updating WordPress)
I really wish there was a more streamlined way to update WordPress. I just updated to the latest version, with no problems. So far. If you see anything that’s broken, give me a holler and I’ll fix it.
Other than that, today has been a day of laziness. I’m still catching up on everything that I missed while offline. I’m making an effort to streamline how I spend my time online, so I don’t lose huge chunks of the day to the internet. I’ve cut down my default reading list on LJ and am weeding out rss feeds. Knowing me, I’ll have replaced them all within a few days. I am a creature of the internet, oh yes.
Apologies for all the test posts
Still playing around with WordPress. I was supposed to go out tonight, but the human suit had other ideas. Instead I am ensconced on the couch with the laptop, playing around with WordPress and Flickr. Angels in America is playing in the background.
Things I have discovered – using the Livejournal crossposter plugin on WordPress works fine, though I had one post go a bit wonky (I think that was because I updated WordPress, though). Deleting a post at WordPress deleted it at LJ as well, which I wasn’t expecting.
I finally tracked down a client for WordPress as well – BlogDesk. Nice and simple, and it does everything that I need it to. Now I have no excuses.
For the record, I’m not moving over to the WordPress blog because of the recent issues with Livejournal, but just to streamline the way I do things. I have a permanent account at LJ, and as long as that account exists, I’ll be there. I will be reading my friends list and replying to comments there. For those who are subscribed to the syndicated feed at LJ, you might want to drop that from your friends list, unless you don’t mind seeing double posts.
Updates
I updated to the new version of WordPress, with thankfully few problems. So far, anyway – if you see anything broken, please let me know.
I still want to play around some more with things, including possibly installing a new theme. I’ve found a few public ones that I almost like, but they all have issues. For now, the theme shall remain the same. Until I find something else that I like, anyway.
Time to go and rest. My joints are screaming at me, and my fatigue levels are high. Stupid human suit.
Changes
I’m finding myself unhappy with having two blogs in two different places – both here and over at Livejournal. While I like the privacy options that Livejournal gives, it’s just too much work for me to keep both of them up and running. And interesting.
So, an experiment. I’m going to try blogging over here, and having the posts crossposted to livejournal. We’ll see how this goes.
I need to work on the website a little bit as well. I want to add in some more functionality and interest. Trust me to decide to do this while our internet is shaped.
Updating
I’m currently in the middle of updating the website, so things might look a little broken for a while.
The good news is that I’ve turned comments on again and set up some good spam filtering. Hopefully that will fix the issues I’ve had with spam comments.
Updates
Updated my bibliography page, with a reprint of Through Closed Eyes and two new reviews.
New reviews at Horrorscope - Soul by Toshba Learner and Ticonderoga Online Issue 10.
